Grande Prairie AGM Grande Prairie Library Rotary Training Room Date: Tuesday, 19 February 2019 Time: 1:30pm (doors open at 1:00pm) "Helping Your Branch Move Forward"
Dear G. P & District Branch Members, At the January 10th Executive Meeting some major structural changes were approved that will take effect for the upcoming year. Members are invited to attend the Grande Prairie AGM on 19 February 2019 in the Rotary Training Room to address these changes. Rationale: It has become increasingly difficult to find enough members who will step up to fill vacant Executive and Committee positions, and to volunteer their time to help out at publicity tables at our outreach and other events. As a result, those of us who presently hold positions on the Executive have decided to continue for the 2019/2020 term, with the following tentative changes: 1) Reduce the number of Meetings: Feb. - Executive Meeting & AGM May - Executive & General Meetings Sept. - Executive Meeting Oct. - Executive & General Meeting 2) An annual fall 'High Profile' Speaker Workshop: Plan for 4-5 October 2019 and invite two-speakers for alternating sessions in the large Meeting room at the Museum. 3) Modified Genie/Member Program: Genie assistance will be available in the Isabel Campbell Room at the Grande Prairie Public
Library on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 pm. Appointments are recommended. Members are encouraged to attend to further their own research.
Special Interest Group (SIG) participation included (when available), during this time. |
