Savoir faire "Know how"
— Alberta Genealogical Society wins kudos with Montréal blogger
Gail Dever, a Montréal-based genealogist and blogger loves writing—everyday! In November 2014, Gail spotted the new Alberta Genealogical Society's website and surprised us with a wonderful piece describing the site. Worth noting, Gail is the web content manager (webmaster) for the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa and is always looking "for good genealogy websites to inspire" her.
What Gail said:
“The Alberta Genealogical Society has launched a new website, and I like what I see. The site has a clean, professional look, and navigating through it is easy to do.
I especially like that Become a Member is front and centre on the home page. After all, a genealogical society’s number one consumer product is membership. Without a large, supportive membership, there is no society.
Featured in the rotating banner across the top of the page are the society branches, library, cemetery database, Alberta homestead index, and news and events….
Kudos to the Alberta Genealogical Society. They have know-how.”
—Thank you, Gail!
