Community Involvement

January 2024

We were invited to for an interview with Eastlink Community TV.  You can view the promo for it here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w8L01AOj2Y

Check out some behind-the-scenes photos:

March 2024

We were invited to do an interview with our local Town & Country News. You can check out their article here: https://www.townandcountrynews.ca/genies-at-your-library/

Some wonderful photos that they took of our board members, our Researcher and Board member Joan Bowman, and our microfilm machine.

In March we also attended the Teacher's Convention hosted at our local high school Charles Spencer.

Our door prize winner Perry Schofield won a copy of "Olwen's Scrapbook: A Journey to the Peace Country in 1933" written & illustrated by Olwen Sanger-Davies.

May 2024

In May we attended Grande Prairie's Heritage Fair and also did another interview with Eastlink Community TV.

June 2024

We participated in Grande Prairie's Seniors Week where we set up an info booth. Door prize winner Barbara McKinnon won one of our DNA kits.

July 2024

We joined in on the downtown fun with "Where's Waldo". An event where participants hunt down a small Waldo image at each location to win a prize. Hosted by our local bookstore The Next Chapter - Books, Puzzles & Gifts.

Can you find Waldo?
